About ENO Volunteer Fire Department

The Eno Volunteer Fire Department proudly serves the Eno community and the East Orange Fire District with dedication, professionalism, and a deep commitment to public safety. As a volunteer department, our members are your neighbors—ready to respond whenever we’re needed.

We provide a wide range of emergency and community services to protect and support our residents, including:

  • Fire Suppression – Rapid response to structure fires, vehicle fires, and wildland fires

  • Emergency Medical Response (EMS) – First response medical care and support

  • Rescue Services – Vehicle extrication, water rescue, and technical rescue operations

  • Fire Prevention – Helping reduce risk through education and prevention efforts

  • Community Education – School visits, fire safety education, and public outreach programs

Service Area

The Eno Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency response services within the Eno Fire District of northeastern Orange County, North Carolina. Through established mutual‑aid and automatic‑aid agreements, Eno Fire‑Rescue also responds to emergencies in Durham County, the City of Durham, and neighboring Orange County districts as needed.

Training

No prior experience is necessary. We provide the opportunity for training in firefighting, emergency medical response, and rescue operations to ensure all members are prepared and confident in the field.
